What's the actual workflow when an employee in CA / NY / WA goes on protected leave?
We have employees in CA (CFRA + PFL), NY (PFL), and WA (PFML). Each state has different intake forms, different pay coordination, different return-to-work paperwork.
For anyone running multi-state leave at scale: are you doing this manually in your HCM, paying a separate leave admin vendor (AbsenceSoft, Sedgwick, etc.), or letting your PEO handle it? What's the cost / accuracy tradeoff?
